DePaul undergraduate enrollment was 15,782, graduate enrollment was 7,526 and College of Law enrollment was 1,044 for 2008-2009.
DePaul enrolled an all-time record freshman class of 2,555 in fall 2008, after receiving a record 12,942 applications for the class.
The average ACT score for freshman students enrolled at DePaul in 2008 is nearly 25. Freshmen in DePaul’s 2008 class have a mean GPA of 3.5 on a standard 4.0 scale.
The freshman class reflects DePaul's longstanding commitment to diversity. Minority students represented approximately 30 percent of the class. The class is 58 percent female. Approximately 65 percent of freshmen hail from Illinois.
Nearly 30 percent of DePaul's full-time freshmen are from families where neither parent has a college degree.
Among all undergraduates, minority students make up nearly 30 percent of the total undergraduate population at DePaul. Additionally, approximately 57 percent of undergraduate students are female.
The Princeton Review has honored DePaul for having one of the top 20 most diverse student populations among the nation's universities for five consecutive years. DePaul was ranked No. 1 in the nation for "diverse student population" in the publication’s 2006 survey.
DePaul students were found to be the happiest in the nation in a survey of thousands of students across the country conducted by the Princeton Review for its 2003 and 1999 "Best Colleges" publications. DePaul has been ranked in the top 12 of this category four times in the past seven years.
Approximately 1,500 students currently attend classes at DePaul's suburban campus locations. More than 1,200 students take distance learning courses online from DePaul.
Approximately 235 student organizations are registered at DePaul, including those that focus on student government, Greek life, political activism, volunteerism, religious interest, cultural heritage, academic interest, sports and recreation.
The Career Center at DePaul makes approximately 22,000 consultations with students for career services annually. The Career Center's Web site receives approximately 200,000 visits per year. Nearly 13,000 students and alumni put their profiles and employment information into the center's online database last year and more than 50,000 resumes are submitted to jobs posted online.
About 2,500 undergraduate students live in 15 university residence halls on DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus and the University Center of Chicago, a multi-university residence hall which near DePaul's Loop Campus.
