Stockyard Institute
A community arts education program that provides opportunities for collaborative art projects with youth, teachers, artists and residents in underserved Chicago communities such as Back of the Yards, Austin and Rogers Park neighborhoods. Since its inception in 1995, the institute has connected with more than 2,000 students and exhibited projects locally and around the world.

Asia-Pacific Mathematics and Science Education Collaborative
Seeks to catalyze systemic improvement in mathematics and science education through international studies of mathematics and science education. It engages in research dissemination, curriculum and program design, and professional education in collaboration with colleagues and allied organizations of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies, which include Japan, China, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Chile, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.

Career Center at DePaul
Provides students and alumni with opportunities to connect with employers through internships, co-op positions, entry-level work and full-time employment. The center matches prospective employers with job-seekers through company presentations, online job postings and resume referrals, on-campus interviewing, job and internship fairs, and networking events. Staff provides job-market recruiting and hiring trend information to the media based on empirical data from employers, students and alumni.

Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation
Oversees innovative education programs, executive seminars and research into corporate governance and business strategy that lead organizations to sustainable high performance. Coleman Entrepreneurship Center
Outreach and student support center that serves as an extension of DePaul's academic entrepreneurship program. On campus, supports DePaul student-entrepreneurs through extracurricular programs that help them launch and grow entrepreneurial businesses, non-profits, and social ventures. Examples include the Launch DePaul new venture competition and Blueprint, a comprehensive and structured "virtual incubator" program that provides students - both undergraduate and graduate, across all majors - the knowledge, contacts, and experience they need. In the community, aims to improve the quality of life for business owners through outreach programs such as Peer Advisory Roundtables and Business Owner Academy, a selection of continuing education courses. Specialties include peer-to-peer learning, youth entrepreneurship, mentoring, community-building, emerging trends, and entrepreneurship strategy.

Community Music Division
Offers high-quality music instruction for community members of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Enrolls children and adults in after-school, evening and weekend music lessons at DePaul's School of Music. Sixty professional artist-educators teach in the program. Offerings include private lessons, musicianship and instrumental classes, performance ensembles, workshops and student recitals. Certified by the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.

DePaul Family and Community Services
Jointly funded by DePaul and the Illinois Department of Mental Health, the center provides mental health services to children up to age 17 as well as their families who live in the Loop, Near North and Lincoln Park neighborhoods of Chicago. Also provides clinical training for graduate students in DePaul's doctoral clinical psychology program. Services are provided at the center located in Lincoln Park and at a variety of community sites. The schools, children and families of the Cabrini-Green community are a particular focus.

DePaul Labor Education Center
Based in DePaul's School for New Learning, the center provides union members, officers and staff education in labor leadership, covering such topics as organizing, collective bargaining, labor law, labor history, communications, arbitration, health, safety and popular economics. Offers on-site programming to unions, as well as a unique high school instruction designed to teach young people about the contributions of the labor movement to American society. Staff members are experienced labor union advocates and educators.

International Human Rights Law Institute

Real Estate Center at DePaul

As the Midwest's premier center for real estate education and research, the center supports traditional undergraduate and graduate degree programs in real estate through the Department of Finance as well as continuing education and conferences of specific interest to the real estate industry.

Also part of the center is The Institute for Housing Studies, which encompasses the Affordable Rental Housing Data Clearinghouse and Interagency Council, two Preservation Compact initiatives created by the Urban Land Institute with support from the MacArthur Foundation to track affordable rental housing in Cook County and help coordinate governmental agency response to save this housing. DePaul researchers study affordable rental housing trends using data from city, state and federal agencies and other sources and share their findings with policymakers, affordable housing advocates and the public.

Irwin W. Steans Center for Community-Based Service Learning

Encourages service learning by integrating classroom studies with the work of community-based organizations in Chicago and internationally. Serves as a community resource by utilizing the skills, resources and expertise of DePaul faculty, students and staff to provide assistance to community-based organizations.

In 2009, DePaul’s Egan Urban Center (EUC) became part of the Steans Center. Created in 1979, EUC draws upon the resources of DePaul faculty, students and staff, as well as community partners, to assist neighborhood organizations to address critical urban problems, alleviate poverty and promote social justice through teaching, service and scholarship. Initiatives include community-based research, data analysis, teaching and technical assistance, and community-building activities, with focus on the city’s underserved and marginalized communities.

Vincentian Studies Institute of the United States
Founded in 1979 by the 10 provinces of the Congregation of the Mission (the Vincentians) and Daughters of Charity in the United States, the Institute has been sponsored by DePaul University since 2007. Housed within the Office of Mission and Values, the mission of the institute is to promote a living interest in the historical, spiritual, and heritage of St. Vincent de Paul (1581-1660) and St. Louise de Marillac (1591-1660). The institute produces the journal “Vincentian Heritage,” sponsors the publication of a wide variety of translations and original works in the Vincentian tradition and periodically offers continuing education opportunities and national symposia. In cooperation with DePaul’s John T. Richardson Library, the institute also sponsors a Vincentian research library, special collections, material culture collections, and digitized resources for researchers and members of the Vincentian tradition worldwide. An annual grant program to support Vincentian research is available to qualified scholars.
